Heating and Cooling From the Roof

Most commercial buildings are heated and cooled from the roof. A rooftop unit does both from one cabinet: gas heat in the winter, air conditioning in the summer, ducted into the space below.

We service, repair and replace rooftop units for commercial properties, so your building stays comfortable for the people who work and shop in it.

While you wait, three quick checks

  1. 01

Thermostat. Set to Heat (or Cool), a few degrees past the room temperature, with fresh batteries if it takes them.

  2. 02

Power. Check the breaker for the furnace or AC, and the furnace's service switch: it looks like a light switch, near the unit.

  3. 03

Filter. A clogged furnace filter can shut the system down. If it's grey and matted, swap it.

Smell gas? Leave the building first.

Then, from a safe distance, call Enbridge Gas's 24/7 emergency line or 911.
